Collaboration with the Hogar de Cristo Maestro
Hands Of Terra, under its collaborative program with various charitable organizations, has participated with the Okiwica Foundation to help children in the marginal area of Cazuca (Colombia) where the Hogar de Cristo Maestro is located and managed by the Hermanas Misioneras de Cristo.
The contribution made by Hands Of Terra (a joint division of the company Terra Fresh Foods ) has served to provide the Hogar with eating utensils for the center’s dining room. The facility handles the task of assisting and training children with high physical and moral risk in the area of Cazuca. More than 300 children participate in these projects aimed towards nutrition and educational training in values and coexistence. In addition, among other projects, the center also helps train mothers who are heads of households with practical tasks and educate them about the local economy to enable them to better manage their homes with the limited resources available.
